A journey that revealed itself along the way
At the end of 2015, the founder of Stellar Healing Center arrived in Orlando carrying more than suitcases and boxes: she brought with her a life split between two countries and a spiritual path that continued to take shape in a new city. While still holding professional responsibilities in Curitiba, where she ran a company, she was taking her first steps into a new reality in the United States.
Amid this fresh start, she felt the need to find a spiritual space that would allow her to continue her journey. That’s how she began attending a Spiritist Center in Orlando and, between 2015 and 2017, volunteered in its Evangelization program. This experience was important for her adjustment to the new city and, above all, for the continuity of a spiritual path that had already been taking shape for many years.
Reconnecting with Apometry
Long before that, back in Brazil, Apometry had already been part of her life for nearly 15 years. After a long journey within Kardecist Spiritism, it was in this practice that she found a form of spiritual work she deeply identified with.
In 2017, people close to her who knew of her experience began to show interest in learning more about Apometry. From that interest, a small study group was born. There were no plans to create a service, nor any defined structure. There was only the desire to study and share knowledge.
But, naturally, the study began to find its purpose in service.
During a volunteer activity caring for the elderly, a new encounter brought the group close to a family going through a difficult situation who couldn’t travel to where the group met. The group began holding weekly visits with this family, and what was initially meant to be a one-time act of help ended up continuing for nearly a year.
It was through this process that the awareness began to emerge that this knowledge could go beyond study: it could also be put in service of those who needed help.
When the path begins to call more people
From there, more people began to arrive. There was no advertising, strategy, or growth planning. The work simply kept responding to the needs that arose.
Over time, the group found a small room inside a mattress store and factory, where the studies continued and the first sessions began to happen more often.
It was also at this point that a very close friendship, present since the very beginning of this journey in Orlando, began to play a key role in building the work. The founder and this friend remained together at the head of the group, watching it grow and helping guide each new stage.
In that small space, between studies, sessions, and the arrival of new people, something neither of them had originally planned was beginning to take shape.
The space, however, soon became too small.
New mediums approached, interested in learning about and joining the work, while the number of people seeking sessions also grew. Before long, there was no longer enough room to comfortably welcome everyone. People waited seated on mattresses, on the stairs, and even on the floor.
It was a clear sign that the work had grown beyond anything that small group could have imagined at the start.
Even so, there wasn’t yet the financial structure to take on a space of their own and all the costs involved. A new possibility needed to be found.
The space that allowed the work to continue
Then came the opportunity to use a space within a Spiritist Center that was already part of the founder’s journey in Orlando. After conversations and a deeper understanding of the work, it became possible to use the location through a symbolic rent.
In 2018, the group found there a new space to continue its journey.
Since then, the founder and her friend have remained at the helm of this work, guiding its journey and preserving the essence that has been present since the very first gatherings.
Since 2018: a purpose that remains alive
Once a week, the work of Apometry continues to be carried out for people who come from Orlando and from different cities, often through a referral or because they came to know about the work in some way.
Looking back on this journey, perhaps the most meaningful thing is realizing that none of it began as a grand project.
It started small.
It started with study, experience, friendship, and gatherings that happened naturally. Then came the first sessions. New people came, along with new spaces and new challenges.
And, little by little, the path revealed itself.
Stellar Healing Center wasn’t born from a structured plan to build a large organization. It was born from a spontaneous movement of welcome and service. It grew as people arrived, needs emerged, and new possibilities opened up.
Today, that origin remains an essential part of its identity: to welcome, to serve, and to help, always respecting each person’s free will and individuality.
A story that wasn’t drawn up in advance, but built step by step, through the encounters, the people, and the very path that opened up as it was walked.
